Modular Tailings Treatment Plant

Debswana

Implementation of 400tph modular tailing treatment plant for Debswana.

ADP has been commissioned by Debswana to design a Rapid Deployment Plant to treat dump tailing at the Jwaneng Mine in Botswana for Debswana. With the study phase completed in December 2011, the Detail Design phase is in progress.

The rapid deployment principle enables a plant to start producing within 15 months from start of construction. The Required Operational Capability (ROC) specifies a modular, movable low cost plant with a high residual value. The plant is designed so that it can be customized to treat different material sources and is flexible to the extent that it can be expanded to 100% of the current capacity by the addition of additional modules.
The plant features innovative designs i.e small footprint (jet pumping) aggressive scrubber concept, modular water flush crushing philosophy, de-sliming module with combined sump system and batch feed recovery.

A major benefit is the low capital requirement and high residual value if it is relocated in addition to reducing project timelines and risks. With the modular pre-fabricated units site activity is minimized and minimum scaffolding and working on heights are required enhancing erecting the plant safely.
