Orapa 3 Final Recovery Plant Study
Debswana
Fluor-Daniel Australia commissioned ADP to design the Orapa 3 Final Recovery Plant as input to the overall feasibility study for the proposed new Orapa-3 project for Debswana. The design is aimed at recovering diamonds from a DMS concentrate stream generated in both a fines and coarse DMS and combined.
Included in the design is the equipment required to effectively dispose/recycle the tailings from the installation.
Part of the requirement was the need to de-couple the operation of the Recovery and DMS sections and to prepare the material for diamond recovery by X-Ray and grease sorting machines.
The plant processing section was designed to allow a gravity flow of material through the building without the need for many vertical transfer steps.
The facility is fully automated and incorporates all the elements of "best practice" in final diamond recovery plant designs.
