Namdeb

This project- acronym "Optimum Recovery By Innovative Technology" consisted of the supply of an X-ray re-concentration plant with 2 high capacity UltraSort DP-6 X-ray machines and a UltraSort JS-12 unit together with a 165 tonne per hour Dense Media Separation Plant together designed to free up capacity on the existing main recovery plant at Namdeb. The total designed throughput of the facility is 25 tonne per hour of diamond concentrate.

The project also consisted of the design and installation of an Optical Sorting plant within the existing Recovery building of capacity 10 tonne per hour, to act as scavengers for the existing X-Ray machines.
