E-Bay front end upgrade
Namdeb
The Elizabeth Bay Front-End upgrade was designed and implemented for Namdeb's Elizabeth Bay mine in Luderitz, Namibia in 2006.
This was a complicated "brown-fields" project aimed at solving materials handling issues being experienced at the time due to unexpectedly difficult, clay rich head-feed.
The project incorporated the installation of a large pulping chute capable of handling instantaneous surges of up to 4000 tph of -200 mm wet crushed material, a 300 tonne wet surge bin and a new duel screening module as well as approximately 1000 m of large bore HDPE piping.
