Walking Jack-Up Platform
Namdeb
The Walking Jack-Up Platform Project, built for Namdeb in 2005, is a 17m x 13m walking jack-up platform for shallow water surf mining. The platform includes a primary and secondary mining system and process plant, and is capable of moving at 25 m/h.
The design has a hybrid 200mm jetpump and a 12/10 dredge pump mining system with a peak mining rate of 250 tph.
